I am a conservation, geospatial, and engagement product professional with expertise in program strategy and project management; digital products and visual design; conservation technology, geospatial science, and GIS; data systems; avian ecology and conservation science; advocacy and land management policy. I use these skills to build data-driven products that engage and influence decision-makers and the public in science and conservation issues.
I lead teams to integrate and synthesize broad-scale, complex data into engaging and influential science-driven products including apps, visualizations, maps and ecological atlases, conservation prioritizations, decision-support tools, and stories. During the last two decades my focus expanded from environmental consulting in the Rocky Mountain West to a decade of science and policy work across Alaska, and most recently applying science and technology toward the conservation of migratory birds throughout the Americas.
I am passionate about the conservation of intact ecosystems, migratory birds, and Arctic fauna for the benefit of future generations of people and wildlife, and my collaborative work has guided the protection of millions of acres for Arctic birds and wildlife. I am a lifelong birder and avid outdoorsperson. When not at work you will often find me outside on cross-country skis, a dog sled, or a hiking trail.
